Don't be surprised

You've said things that have hurt people before. So, don't be surprised if someone hurts you. Be gracious instead (Ecclesiastes 7:21-22).

What you're becoming

Don't just pay attention to what you're doing. Pay closer attention to what you're becoming (Psalm 1).

Path of life

"You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand" (Psalm 16:11).

Joy is contagious

Joy is contagious & is a gift from God. If God has blessed you, let someone else see it. You could be their blessing (Psalm 149:2).

Seek God with your heart

Many people seek God with their problems. God promises that when you seek him with your heart you are sure to find him (Deuteronomy 4:29).

Don't stress

Don't stress over anything that God has already told you is under his control (James 1:2-4).

Ideas of possibility

God is never limited by your ideas of possibility. Keep faith in what God can do, not just in what you think is possible (Jeremiah 32:17).

Be the change

It's not your job to change people; only God can do that. It's your job to be the change God has called you to be (Romans 12:1-2).

the God who works wonders

"You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples" (Psalm 77:14).

Use your words faithfully

Your words have the power of blessing and cursing. Don't take that lightly, & ask God to help you use your words faithfully (James 3:10).

Test your patience

When you have moments that test your patience, remember that your day is filled with more blessing than turmoil (Psalm 31:15).

Enjoy today

You'll never be able to enjoy today if you're too busy complaining about yesterday or too worried about tomorrow (Ecclesiastes 3:12-1).

Prepared for God's calling

You're already prepared for what God has called you to do. Don't let fear or self-doubt interfere with God's plan for you (Luke 9:23).

A joyful heart

Even when things are not working out, with God's help, you can let a joyful heart guide you through whatever you face (Proverbs 17:22).

New strength

"The law of the Lord is perfect; it gives new strength" (Psalm 19:7).

Weighed down by stress

Don't be weighed down by the stress of the world. Be uplifted by the promise & power of God's Spirit (Proverbs 12:25).

Praise in your heart

Use your words to give voice to the praise in your heart. Sing a song of joy, read a promise from scripture or give thanks to God (Hebrews 13:15).

Don't face life alone

You weren't meant to face life alone. God is with you, and has given you his church to be a blessing and source of strength for you (Ephesians 4:4).

Lingering unforgiveness

Life is too short to let unforgiveness linger any longer. God forgave you so you can know how to forgive others (Luke 1:37).

Battles worth fighting

There are battles worth fighting. There are battles that are not. May God give you the wisdom to always know the difference (Romans 12:17).

His godly ones

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His godly ones" (Psalm 116:15).

Right where you are

Every chance you take to share what God has done for you is a chance to build the Kingdom of God right where you are (Mark 4:26).

The true rest you need

You don't have to wait for the weekend to have rest. Seek the presence of God everyday and you will find the true rest you need (Matthew 11:28).

Something to see

Walk by faith and not by sight, but also know that God often gives you something to see so that you know he is with you (Luke 2:20). Pay attention.

Keeping Christ in Christmas

You keep Christ in Christmas by keeping the way of Christ in your thoughts, words & deeds everyday (John 14:4).

From on high

The wise men came from afar to see Jesus. Praise God that Christ came from on high to be with you (Matthew 2:1)! Have a great 1st Monday of 2017.
