Tough times

Keep the faith--tough times won't last. God's mercy & grace will (Psalm 30:5).

Know you're loved

God doesn't want you to just listen to his words so you know the right rules. God wants you to hear his voice & know you're loved (John 10:27-28).

Whose business

You have the same amount of time in your day Jesus had. The difference is always whose business you decide to make a priority (Luke 2:49).

It's your testimony

Every challenge you have faced & conquered is now your testimony to the power of God (Daniel 4:2).

Missing the blessing of God

If you're doing something for someone so that you can get a blessing from God, you're missing what the real blessing of God is (1 Samuel 12:24).

A shield around me

"But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head" (Psalm 3:3).

Down and out

When you're down, don't beat yourself up. Always remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14).

Don't overthink it

Don't overthink what God has already told you to do. Be obedient to the Spirit's guidance (Romans 8:14).

Discovering your purpose

Discovering your true purpose in life happens as you praise God, who gave you both your life and your purpose (Isaiah 55:11).

True faith in God

True faith in God requires patience, & patience requires trust. You may not have what God has promised right now, but keep the faith (Romans 8:25).

Your trial may be great, but God's faithfulness is always greater (Lamentation 3:22-23)!

For your name's sake

"Help us, O God of our salvation for the glory of your name; deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name’s sake" (Psalm 79:9).

Life is a gift

Your life is a gift from God. And your life can also be a gift to God as you learn to love him with all of your heart, soul & might (Deuteronomy 6:5).

The Spirit's work

The Spirit transforms our lives by turning fear into faith, dullness into passion & pain into redemption (Luke 24:49).

Just another day?

Today doesn't have to be just another day. This is a day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be blessed (Psalm 118:24)!

Contagious

Joy is contagious, but so is negativity. You have to decide which you're going to receive and which you're going to give (Psalm 16:9).
 

A good attitude

Keeping a good attitude goes a long way in having a good day (Proverbs 17:22).

The Lord is God

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture" (Psalm 100:3).

Worry doesn't have to be normal

Worry doesn't have to be normal. Let your fears of tomorrow be calmed by the presence & promises of God today (1 Peter 5:7).

Remember the promise

When you can't remember what Jesus said, remember what Jesus promised: I am with you always, to the end of this age (Matthew 28:20).

Follow God, don't play God

You can't follow God if you're trying to play God. Give the Lord control of your heart & the abundant life he promised is yours (Matthew 26:52-54).

Hope in any struggle

There is hope in any struggle. The way to find it is to seek God's presence in the midst of whatever you're facing (Romans 15:13).

What God created you to be

Don't be so preoccupied with trying to be what other people say you should be that you forget what God has truly created you to be (Romans 12:2).

A God merciful & gracious

"But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness" (Psalm 86:15).

Strength to endure

This has been a tough week for many people in South Texas, but God has given us the strength to endure each day. Our hope remains in the One who gives us new life each day.
