Great is our Lord

"Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure" (Psalm 147:5).

The gift we celebrate

We tell each other, "Merry Christmas" to celebrate the season, but we tell God, "Thank you" for the gift we celebrate (2 Corinthians 9:15).

In humble fashion

The salvation of God came in humble fashion. Likewise, humble yourself before God and see what glory he brings (Zechariah 9:9).

Celebrate and rejoice!

Mary's song is the first song of Christmas, and it shows the best way for you to celebrate--to magnify God and rejoice (Luke 1:46).

Merry Christmas

A child is born, and a promise is fulfilled. Emmanuel has come--God with us (Isaiah 7:14)!  Merry Christmas.

Beginning of wisdom

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever" (Psalm 111:10)!

Who to believe

Choosing who to believe is just as difficult and as important as choosing what to believe (1 John 4:1).

God sees

God sees good in you even when you or anyone else can't. You were created with the image of God within you (Colossians 3:10).

Show the change

You show the world who God is when you show them how your life has been changed (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The joy is yours

Don't let someone else's negativity keep you from having the joy God says is yours (Acts 18:6).
 

Make some!

Take advantage of the quiet moments of your day to focus on the glory of God (Matthew 14:22-23). If you don't have any, make some!

How good & pleasant

"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity" (Psalm 133:1)!

Trust where God is leading

Sometimes you can't see where you're going, but you can always trust where God is leading you (Isaiah 26:3-4).

Choose Christ!

You can be burdened by the lies of the world or you can be set free by the truth of Christ (John 8:32). Choose Christ!

Your God

You experience the true love of God when you see Christ not just as God, but as your God (John 20:28).

God knows you're ready

You don't need to have a perfect past to live a holy life today. God knows you're ready to live abundantly (James 2:25).

Overwhelm every disappointment

Your faith in God offers you a hope that overwhelms every disappointment you may experience (Proverbs 23:17-18).

Everlasting to everlasting

"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God" (Psalm 90:2).

Are you weary?

Jesus invited those who were weary to come to him. Seems like he knew life would get to us sometimes. Are you turning to him (Matthew 11:28:30)?

You've conquered

If you've ever lived, then you've worried. But if you've ever believed, you've conquered your worry (Romans 8:37).

Show the love

Go out of your way to show the love of God today. You might be helping someone find the way of God (2 Timothy 2:24).

Pray through it

Don't just pray about it. Pray through it (Psalm 34:17)!

Live inspired

The Holy Spirit of God has never stopped moving!  Live inspired by God today and always (Luke 11:13).      

The way of faithfulness

"I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your rules before me" (Psalm 199:30).

The more you seek, the more you see

The more you seek God, the more you will see God (Jeremiah 29:13).

Understanding your peace

People will not always be able to understand the peace you have through your storms, but they will see it (Philippians 4:7).

God is Faithful

God is faithful in every season of your life. You can trust God at every step of life's journey (Malachi 3:6).

Rest in the sureness

Rest is a command of God that brings the blessing of God. Don't just fall asleep. Take time to rest in the sureness & love of God (Matthew 11:29).

A thankful heart

A thankful heart will always be blessed (James 1:17).

Way of God

The Way of God isn't an impossible way of life. It is a way of holiness that God has shown us we can live by (Luke 10:27).

No better version

You don't have to try to create a better version of yourself.  You already have the image of God you were created with within you (Genesis 1:27).

Well done

You may never hear a "Thank you, friend" for the good work you do. But one day you'll hear, "Well done, good & faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).

Exalt the Lord

"Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he" (Psalm 99:5)!

Your worship of God

Keep your worship of God as an important part of everything you are, and not just something you do from time to time (John 4:24).

More patient than you realize

If you've followed God at all, you're more patient than you realize! Following God takes waiting and trusting in God's time & plan (Isaiah 40:31).

following God's plan

You don't have to understand what God's plan is in order to follow it. But trust there is a plan and God will show you the way (Jeremiah 29:11).

Hearing the word

Hearing the word of God doesn't fix life. It brings life (John 6:63).

Image of God inside of you

Trying to live up to others' expectations of you is exhausting, but living into the image of God inside of you is fulfilling (Psalm139:14).

The one who trusts

"Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you" (Psalm 84:12).

The right thing

You may suffer because of doing the right thing, but you'll never regret doing the right thing (Matthew 5:11-12).

How strong you are

You don't know how strong you are until you realize how strong you have to be (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Holding a grudge

Usually, the temptation is to hold a grudge against someone. Instead, hold them in prayer (James 5:16).

God's plan & outcome

Believing isn't just a faith in God. Its a faith & trust in God's will and God's outcome (Psalm 37:5).

Jesus brings peace

Jesus knew the world would bring tribulation & tragedy. That's why he wanted you to know he brings you peace (John 16:33).

God is the strength

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:26).

Give enemies grace

Loving our enemies is hard because we're sure we know what they deserve. So, give them grace (Luke 6:27).

Loving people

You can't change people. You can only love them (John 13:34).

God is love

God is not just loving. God is love. Whatever God has planned for you is the most loving thing imaginable (1John 4:16).

Admitting Weakness

Admitting weakness is not a weakness or a discredit. It's a chance to grow (2 Corinthians 12:9).

The heavens declare

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands" (Psalm 19:1).

Because God is

Because God is who God is, you can be who God wants you to be, and do what God wants you to do (John 14:12).

A second try

Everyone deserves a second try, but God gives more than we deserve. That's why you'll always find forgiveness with God (1 John 1:9).

Finding time

You'll always find time for what you think is worth your time (2 Corinthians 5:9).

People notice

You can be sure that people notice what they see is important to you. Point them to the love of God (Daniel 3:12).

Starting over

Sometimes you just have to start over. When you do, let God renew your thoughts, ideas and energy (1 Peter 5:7).

Commit your way

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act" (Psalm 37:5).

Godly advice

Don't just look for sound advice. Seek out godly advice so that you can learn and stay in the Way of God (Proverbs 12:15).

Listen to friends

Listen to the friends who are willing to help you recognize what you don't realize you're missing (Proverbs 27:9 ).

Will I?

Discipleship isn't just answering the question, "Can I?" It's answering the question, "Will I?" (Luke 14:27)

Reading the Bible

Don't read the Bible just to get through with it. Read it so that it gets through to you (1 Thessalonians 2:13). 

That friend is a gift

The more you can depend on a friend to tell you the truth you need to hear, the more you can trust that friend is a gift of God (Proverbs 27:9).
