The end of a thing

Even the best gifts of the season could ever compare to the good gifts of salvation and eternal life God gave you in Christ Jesus (James 1:17).

You weren't at the manger to see Christ born, but you are able to let Christ be born within your soul every day (John 3:16)!

Waiting on the promises

The promises of God are worth waiting for. When they are fulfilled, you experience amazing grace and everlasting life (Psalm 62:5).

Eyes always on the Lord

"I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken" (Psalm 16:8).

Kids want to be adults

Kids want to be adults, but don't realize they have the faith adults need to be true to God and to themselves (Matthew 18:3).

Are you moving?

Your faith will never move a mountain if you're not willing to be moved yourself (Matthew 21:21).

Your good work

Most of the good work you will ever do will probably be the things you do for others that no one else knows about (Hebrews 13:16). Keep it up!

He wants you to follow

Jesus knew Peter would deny him, but he still asked him to follow. Jesus knows your shortcomings, but still wants you to walk with him (John 13:38).

Who could stand?

"If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand" (Psalm 130:3)?

A single act of forgiveness

A single act of forgiveness can spur a lifetime of peace and healing (Matthew 18:21-22).

Keep believing!

There are moments when your faith not only carries you, but is an inspiration to someone else, too!  Keep believing (2 Timothy 4:7).

He will always be

When Jesus said, "I am," he was telling you he will always be what you need to have abundant and everlasting life (John 11:25).

Our highest calling

The highest calling we have is to love each other. It's how we remember best that we are loved by God (Matthew 22:37).

Your weaknesses

Your weaknesses do not limit God. The more honest you can be about them, the more of God's power you will experience (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I rejoice

"May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord" (Psalm 104:34).

God is willing

God has always been willing to provide for your needs. God isn't going to change now (Genesis 9:3).

Care for your family

Take care of your family. They are the first people God gives you to care for (1 Timothy 5:8).

Dead faith

Dead faith does not honor God. Let your faith, which is God's gift to you, move you to do faithful works of service and love (James 2:17).

God has already won!

The Bible doesn't teach you just that God will win. Remember that God has already won (Revelation 20:11-13)!

How much he's been with you

God doesn't find you--you were never out of his sight. You don't find God--he was never hiding. You just learn how much he's always been with you.

Labor in vain

"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1).

The peace of God

When circumstances are difficult, it's the peace of God that allows you to say, "It is well with my soul" (John 14:27).

Counting or complaining

Counting your blessings is more productive than complaining about your problems (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Content with what you have

If you're not content with what you already have, you'll never be content with any more of it (Philippians 4:13).

All you need to do it

Whatever God is preparing you to do, God will provide all you need to do it (Philippians 4:19).

The work of your hands.

Your day of rest prepares you for your week of work. May God add blessings to the work of your hands (Psalm 90:17).

Will give thanks to the Lord

Starting your day in prayer is your first step to putting your entire life in God's hands each day (Mark 1:35).

Hard to be faithful

It's hard to be faithful if you can't be thankful (Colossians 3:15).

The burden of lies

Lies become a burden to those who tell them and to those who endure them. Let your word be trustworthy (Exodus 20:16).

He'll help you now

When you feel down & discouraged, remember what God has already done for you. If God helped you before, trust he'll help you now (Psalm 46:1).

Doing what is right is not a one-time thing. It's your constant calling, and it leads to spiritual blessings beyond measure (Galatians 6:9).

Above all, remember that you're loved by God! And that means you are always in God's care (Romans 8:38).

Sometimes all you need is a prayer. Sometimes you're going to need an abundance of prayer. Either way, keep praying (Luke 18:1).

True obedience

True obedience to God is doing all that he asks you to do, not just the things you don't mind doing (1 John 5:3).

The power of the storm

The power of the storm is never stronger than the peace of the Savior (Psalm 107:29).

Because you're a child of God

You aren't blessed merely by the things you have. You're blessed because you're a child of God (John 1:12).

Trusting in God doesn't always take away the situation, but it gives you the strength to get through it (Psalm 27:3).

The same mind & love

Even when you disagree with someone, you can share the same mind and the same love. Don't let a disagreement keep you from unity (Philippians 2:2).

Filled with his glory

" Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!" (Psalm 72:19).

Something new

A good way to try something new is by learning something new (Proverbs 9:9)

Nothing small about it

There's nothing small about what you do if you do it in the name of Christ and for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Your authority

Jesus was given authority from God to do great things. Jesus gave you that same authority (Matthew 28:18).

The more you worry

The more you worry, the more you keep your faith from knowing the joy of God (Proverbs 12:25).

Health as priority

Make your health a priority. Just like you wouldn't want your church to be ruined, God doesn't want you to be either (1 Corinthians 6:19).

Impress God

People you have to impress will never be satisfied with you. You'll live more freely if you live your life to please God instead (Galatians 1:10).

Set your mind to keep learning. Godly learning leads to Godly wisdom (Proverbs 1:5).

Priorities and actions

Your priorities lead your actions. If you want to know for sure what your priorities are, look at what you spend your time doing (Proverbs 24:27).

Refuge in God

Taking refuge in God gives you strength to face every day of trouble (Nahum 1:7).

Second chances

The world needs people who give other people second chances (Ephesians 4:32).

Fear of the Lord

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever" (Psalm 111:10)!

Abide in God

A lot of people know things about God, but they haven't learned how to abide in God. Seek God's presence every moment you have breath (1 John 2:28).

Telling God what to do

You can't love God if you're trying to tell God what to do. Let the Spirit lead you to abundant life (1 John 5:3).

Simple

The message of Christ is simple: Repent. The way of Christ is simple: Bear fruit (John 15:16).

Seeing good in others

God is praised in the unity of his people. Don't let disagreements keep you from seeing the good in other people (Titus 3:10).

The enemy's temptations

The power God gives you each day is enough to resist the enemy's temptations. The enemy doesn't stand a chance against a child of God (James 5:8)!

Stored up your word

"I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you" (Psalm 119:11).

Dig deeper

Don't be satisfied with this brief text message. Dig deeper into God's word to find the life God wants for you (Hebrews 4:12).

More patient with others

The more you realize your own faults, the more patient you can be with others (Ephesians 4:2).

Trust fully in God

New level of faith

When you reach a new level of faith, you can expect a new level of temptation. It's part of growing in grace (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Every Christ-like action

Praise God for every Christ-like act you see done for others by others (John 15:13). 

Confessing your sins

Confessing your sins to God brings forgiveness from God and freedom for you (1 John 1:9).  

Words have power

Your words do have power. Choose to use that power to be a blessing (Ephesians 4:29).

Closer to God

You need to be with people who want you to be closer to God. Spend time with them and you'll find yourself closer to God (1 Corinthians 15:33).

The blessings you don't see

Praise God for what you've seen God do. But also praise God for the blessings you don't even realize you have (Luke 6:38).

the Lord delivers

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all" (Psalm 34:20).

God's promises

The more you worry about your problems, the less you'll be inspired by God's promises (1 Peter 5:7).

Even Jesus waited

Even Jesus had to wait for God's timing. Wait patiently for the promise God has given you (Isaiah 11:1).

Lead your life

Don't just read the Bible. Let the Bible lead your life (Psalm 119:105).

God knows

You don't have to try to hide your faults from God. God knows them and still loves you (Jeremiah 23:23-24).

Be an encourager

Celebrate the good things. Too much negativity gets too much attention already. Be an encourager (Hebrews 13:3)!

Turn away

"Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it" (Psalm 34:14).

God is never done

No matter what season of life you're in, God is never done with you. Don't let age keep you from serving God (Psalm 92:14).

Move you forward

Stop kicking yourself for the mistakes you've made. God has already forgiven you and wants to move you forward (1 John 1:9).

How great God is

Since you serve such a great God, your life should have fruit that shows how great God is (John 15:8).

You only need

You don't need strength or power to overcome the world. You only need faith in God (1 John 5:4)!

You have a ministry

You have a ministry! Ask God to show you how your gifts and talents can be used for his purpose (2 Corinthians 5:18).

Shouts of joy

"Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy" (Psalm 126:5)!

Whenever you need him

The good thing is God is right there with you whenever you need him. The bad thing is if you think there are times you don't need him (Hebrews 13:6).

Be joyful

You don't need to have the world to have happiness. God has already given you eternity--be joyful (John 5:24).

Real religion

Real religion points you to the needs of others first. When you serve others, you can trust that God will see to your needs, too (James 1:27).

Closer to the glory

Of course you fall short of the glory of God. That doesn't mean you're not moving closer to the glory of God (2 Corinthians 3:18).

An encouraging word

If you've ever needed to hear an encouraging word before, don't forget to give someone else one, too (Hebrews 10:25).

Out of my distress

"Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free" (Psalm 118:5).

Negative thoughts

God doesn't put negative thoughts into your spirit. God speaks abundant life to you (Isaiah 55:11).

Forgiveness is healing

Forgiveness is healing. To forgive is to allow God to heal the deep wounds you have suffered (James 5:16).

Use the freedom

Use the freedom that's been given to you to glorify God, who has given you the ultimate freedom from sin and death (Galatians 5:1).

Disagree with someone

You can disagree with someone without tearing them down or thinking less of them. Speak wisely (Proverbs 25:11).

God is taking his time

If God is taking his time to teach you something, don't rush through the lesson (Hebrews 10:36).

Number our days

"So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12).

Fill your mind

Fill your mind and heart with things that bring honor to God. You can't become holy if you're holding on to unholy things (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

The support you have

Take courage from the support you have from other people. God has given you people that love & care for you (Ezra 10:4).

Make it through life

You can make it through life without serving God, but that isn't a life that glorifies God (1 Peter 4:10).

A test

A test isn't just to see what you've learned. A test also gets you ready for what's next (James 1:2-4).

The message

Sometimes the message was for you. Sometimes it was for you to give to someone else (Psalm 96:3).

Shield of your salvation

"You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great" (Psalm 18:35).

the One who is truly perfect

People will disappoint you. Live with forgiveness and mercy, and keep your hope in the One who is truly perfect (1 John 1:5).

That's your choice

God made you in his image, but doesn't make you follow his way. That's your choice when you know how much you're loved by your Creator (John 1:11).

Keep the speck out

It's easy to think poorly of someone because of what they say and do, but excuse yourself for doing the same. Keep the speck out (Matthew 7:3).

Being a good friend

God came to the world as a friend, Jesus. You can bring God's presence to someone by being a good friend, too (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Fighting alone

Remember that you're not fighting any battle alone. Be courageous because the Lord has promised to fight for you (Deuteronomy 3:22).

His glorious name

"Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen" (Psalm 72:19)!

A choice you make every day

Following God is a choice you make every day. Every act & every thought of yours is your chance to live for the glory of God (John 11:40).

Power within you

There is a power within you that comes from the Spirit of God. Nothing comes against you that God cannot overcome (2 Timothy 1:7).

God's purpose

The God of the universe created you for his purpose. Don't sell yourself short living for your own (Psalm 57:2).

A blessed future

Thank God for your past. Celebrate your past & learn from it. But don't live in your past. God has given you a blessed future (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Nothing you can do

There's nothing you can do to make God love you more. You get to spend your life learning just how much you are loved by God (Ephesians 3:18).

The darkest valley

"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod & your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4).

A debilitating spirit

Fear is a debilitating spirit. It is not from God. God's spirit of power, love & self control frees you to live life abundantly (2 Timothy 1:7).

Very present

The Bible doesn't just say that God is present. The Bible says that God is very present. You can trust in that (Psalm 46:1)!

More important that what you believe

Actually seeking & doing the will of God is more important than what you say you believe about God (Matthew 7:21).

The better you treat people

The better you treat people that do not deserve to be treated better, the more you understand just how much God has loved you (Ephesians 2:8).

Your reward

Your reward for your confidence in God is the fulfillment of God's promise! Stay confident in what God is doing for you.

Your worth

Your worth to God is not determined by what you do for God. You know your worth by what God has done for you (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

Something inconvienient

Just because something seems inconvenient doesn't mean it can't be a blessing (3 John 1:2).

Live inspired

Live inspired! The Holy Spirit will lead you in ways you can't imagine (Job 32:8).

The whole world is against you

Even if it feels like the whole world is against you, just remember that God said he is for you and he has conquered the world (John 16:33).

Your steadfast love

"But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation" (Psalm 13:5).

The pain you carry

Keep seeking God's healing. God wants to heal the pain you carry with you (Jeremiah 33:6).

God's kingdom at work?

Think of your job as a form of ministry. How could God be using you to build his kingdom at work (Acts 18:2-3)?

A bad attitude

Just a little bit of a bad attitude can ruin an entire day. Don't let anyone's bad attitude, including yours, do that (Ephesians 4:31).

God will bring goodness

God doesn't act good; God is good. And God will bring goodness to your life as you take refuge in him (Psalm 34:8).

Negative things

Don't let the negative things others do take away from the blessings of what God has already done (Titus 3:10).

The cares of my heart

"When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul" (Psalm 94:19).

God can restore

If God can restore your soul, God can restore your attitudes, your feelings and your energy (Psalm 23:3).

Speak with grace

Speak with grace. Let your words speak healing & encouragement that you and others around you need to experience (Proverbs 16:24).

Persistent or stubborn?

When you pray, there's a difference between being persistent with God and being stubborn with God. Ask God for the wisdom to discern which you one you are (Proverbs 15:31-32).

Release control

God cannot release his blessing over you if you will not release your control over to him.

Adding God

If you're adding God to your life, you're just using God. Praise God because he is the source of all life and blessings (Genesis 2:7).

Everlasting to everlasting

"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God" (Psalm 90:2).

Real change

If you don't believe you can change, that's good. You've just made room for God to step in and make the real change (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Pray for freedom

If you feel guilty about what you've done, pray for forgiveness. If you keep feeling guilty, pray for freedom.

Feed your soul

What you feed your soul comes alive in your life (Matthew 15:18).

Where you need to be

God will put you where you need to be. It will be for his glory and your blessing (Isaiah 41:13).

Be a good friend

Be a good friend. It's a reflection of God's goodness (John 15:13).

Land of silence

"If the Lord had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence" (Psalm 94:17).

God has not forgotten

Don't forget what God has done because God has not forgotten what he has promised (Numbers 23:19).

Battles not worth having

Some battles are not worth having. Use wisdom to discern what God wants you to accomplish (Romans 12:17).

Time to pray

You'll never have time to pray if you wait until there's time to pray (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

What's best for you

God knows what's best for you. And God will show you what that is. Be patient and keep your faith strong (Jeremiah 29:11).

Great things

You can do great things because you serve a great God. He has put the Spirit's power within you (Ephesians 3:16).

Having God's peace

There's a direct connection between being able to hold your peace and having God's peace (Philippians 4:7).

Your joy

Don't just ask God to give you joy. Ask God to be your joy (Psalm 43:4).

All the glory

You can't give God all the glory if you're looking for your own (Romans 11:36).

Too much credit

You can never give God too much credit for all the things he has done (Hebrews 13:15).

With a song

"I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving" (Psalm 69:30).

the God you're serving

No circumstance you're facing is greater than the God you're serving (Malachi 3:6).

Your life's value

The value of your life doesn't depend on whether people like you. Your life's value comes from God's love (Matthew 10:31).

Stand in courage

Don't be afraid of the challenge. Stand in courage with the One that has overcome the world (John 16:33).

An attitude of praise

If you'll keep an attitude of praise, you'll notice more of what God is doing around you (John 1:14).

Bitterness is a root

Bitterness is a root that can destroy relationships and take your peace. Uproot any bitterness you have so it doesn't spread (Hebrews 12:15).

He will sustain you

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22).

Transform your worry

Don't feel bad if you worry about something. Ask God to transform your worry about your situation into praise of your Savior (Psalm 56:3-4).

Joy depends on God

You don't have to be happy to be joyful. Happiness depends on circumstance. Joy depends on God (Philippians 4:4).

Everything you have

Taking up your cross daily means not being comfortable with anything else other than following God with everything you have (Matthew 16:24).

Every single act

You build the kingdom of God everyday with every single act of obedience (Matthew 16:19).

Making a way

Just because you don't see a way doesn't mean God isn't already making a way (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Stored up

Ask God to guide the words you use so that what you say may bring healing to those who hear it (Proverbs 12:18).

Don't be impatient with God and try to force a new way through. God is making a new way (Jeremiah 29:11).

"When I am afraid, I put my trust in you" (Psalm 56:3).

God's not ready when you are. God's ready where you are (1 Corinthians 3:23-24).

The best time to pray is always right now (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Following such a great God

An important quality of following such a great and mighty God is doing so with humility and awe (Isaiah 57:15).

God is never finished with you. There's still so many ways God is ready to use you to be a blessing (Ephesians 2:10).

Your work for God

Your work for God is always rewarded. If you don't see it yet, just know it's always stored in heaven (2 Chronicles 15:7).

A negative attitude

A negative attitude is a choice you make.  A joyful spirit is a gift God gives (Proverbs 17:22).

Part of the family

Don't ever believe anyone that says you don't belong. You're a part of the family of God (Acts 2:41).

Give God glory

You give God glory when you are willing to grow in Christ. A stagnant faith doesn't glorify God (2 Peter 3:18).

Learn from people

If you'll learn from people who have already walked where you are now walking, God will bless you with wisdom and grace (1 Corinthians 11:1).

I hope

"I rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope in your words" (Psalm 119:147).

Don't change you

You don't have to change yourself to be important to God. Let God use you, and he'll make the changes (Micah 5:2).

Giant ready

When you're facing a giant, realize that either God will give you what you need or God has already given you what you need (1 Samuel 17:40).

The reward of prayer

There is a reward for prayer. You find it in the earnest, honest times you pray to God (Matthew 6:6).

Don't let the small things get to you. Learn how to let those go so you have enough strength to handle the big things that come (Matthew 8:24).

You can't add God to the things of life. You seek God first and the Lord adds what you need for an abundant life (Matthew 6:33).

The love of money kills, but the faithful use of money can bring blessings (1 Timothy 6:10).

A God idea

A good idea doesn't always mean a God idea. Make prayer a part of your decision making so that you're doing what God wants you to do (1 Chronicles 17:2-3).

God isn't overly impressed with what you do. God's too busy being in love with who you are (Titus 3:5).

Hearing from God

It's hard to hear from God if you don't stop to listen to God (Jeremiah 33:3).

Our refuge

"The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their refuge in the time of trouble" (Psalm 37:39).

Learn something and do something

Don't ask God to teach you something new if you aren't willing to do something new (2 Peter 3:18).

Make the most of the time

The wisest choice you can make every day is to make the most of the time God has given you each day (Ephesians 5:15-17).

Pick one

Unforgiveness festers within you, but forgiveness frees you (Mark 11:25).

Shining through you

Whenever and wherever you show care to someone else, God’s glory is shining through you (Matthew 5:16).

Stay away from gossip!

Someone who gossips with you probably gossips about you, too. Stay away from gossip (Ephesians 4:29).

The Lord is near

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

It's easy to complain

It's easy to complain about a situation. It's better to learn to see the good that God is doing even in bad situations (Psalm 23:4).

God won't blame or shame

When God offers you forgiveness, you can be sure God won't blame you or shame you (Isaiah 61:7).

Your integrity matters

Your integrity matters.  People need to see that you're willing to hold true to your word and commitments (Proverbs 11:3).

Give up the peace of God?

So many people give up the peace of God because they aren't able to cut loose the stress of the world (John 14:27).

Someone else's call

You're at your best when you're doing what God has called you to do. Don't try to live someone else's call (1 Corinthians 3:8).

I sing praises to you

"My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed" (Psalm 71:23).

Hope is a gift from God

Hope is a gift from God that not only sustains you, but also makes you more like Christ (1 John 3:3).

Pray with someone

As good as it is to pray for someone, there's a special blessing when you find a way to pray with someone (James 5:16).

Pride or promise?

You don't need to elevate yourself; that's pride. God has promised to raise you on eagle's wings.  That's a promise (Proverbs 16:18).

Want to be a joyful person?

If you want to be a joyful person, fill your life with joyful people. It's contagious (1 Thessalonians 1:6).

Experience the power of God

You can't experience the power of God if you're trying to run from it (Exodus 14:13).

Come to my relief

"Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief" (Psalm 143:1).

Looking up to the One

Whether you have to keep up. catch up or stay up, make sure your eyes are always looking up to the One who blesses your life (Psalm 121:1).

Influence of negative things

Don't let negative things influence spiritual things. Let spiritual things influence negative things (2 Corinthians 10:5).

How badly you want it

Choose carefully what you decide you want and how badly you want it (Matthew 6:33).

Using your gifts

If you're using your gifts for yourself, you're not using them the way God intended (1 Peter 4:10).

Wimpy prayers

There's no reason to pray wimpy prayers. God has given you boldness. Pray with it (James 5:16)!

A lamp to my feet

" Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105).

Uncomfortable obedience

Obedience to Christ, especially when it's not comfortable, is a true sign of faithfulness (John 14:15).

Helping hand

A helping hand can often lead to a healing heart (Galatians 6:2).

Hold fast

Hold fast to your convictions and stand on what you know God has revealed to you (1 Corinthians 2:13).

Second chances

You learn to give people second chances when you learn how willing God is to give you second chances (1 John 1:9).

True joy

True joy is found when you let go of what keeps you from knowing God more (Jeremiah 29:13).

I shall not want

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1).

Be bold!

Be bold in your faith. God didn't put the power of the Spirit within you so you could live in fear (Hebrews 10:35).

God will make a way

Trust that God knows you & trust that God knows what obstacles you're dealing with. God will make a way (Exodus 14:14).

All you need

One of the blessings of following and seeking God is knowing that in Christ you have all you need (James 1:17).

Faith is Jesus

Your faith is not about Jesus. Your faith is Jesus (John 14:6).

Honor everyone

The more you honor everyone, the more glory God is given. People see how much they are loved by God by how you honor them (1 Peter 2:15-17).

One of the blessings of following and seeking God is knowing that in Christ you have all you need (James 1:17).

Return to your rest

"Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you" (Psalm 116:7).

Beginnings and renewals

There are beginnings and there are renewals. God is either starting something new for you or renewing something within you (Genesis 1:1).

What you do with your faith

Your faith is a gift from God. What you do with your faith is your gift to God (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Confession & forgiveness

Don't expect others to forgive you for what you aren't willing to confess. Healing comes with confession and forgiveness (James 5:16).

Same you=same year

If you're going to be the same, 2018 is going to be the same (Ezekiel 36:26-29).
