Holy days

We call them holidays because they are holy days to us. God gave us a holy calling because we are holy to him (2 Timothy 1:9).

Strength and conditioning

If the joy of the Lord is our strength, the hope of Jesus is our conditioning (Romans 15:13).

Solo act

Worship is not a solo act. Give thanks to God and join with others in praise (1 Samuel 1:4).

Blessed are we

"Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord" (Psalm 144:15)!

Disappointment in life

Disappointment is a part of life, but it doesn't have to be a way of life (Proverbs 23:17-18).

An afterthought

Don't let your giving be an afterthought (Proverbs 3:9).

Becoming what God wants you to be

You won't get where God wants you to be if you aren't becoming what God wants you to be (Hebrews 12:14).

Wisdom to know

People of God need the wisdom to know when to be a silent presence and when to be advocates (James 3:13).

God's provision

God has always provided and God will always provide (Matthew 6:26).

Seek the Lord

"Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing" (Psalm 34:10).

Time

Time is best lived (James 4:14).

A changed heart

The proof of faith is a changed heart (Ezekiel 11:19).

What the Bible is asking

Pay attention to what the Bible says to you , but also what it is asking of you (Isaiah 55:11).

There has never been a day God has been unable to care for his people (Revelation 1:8).

Praying for someone who has wronged you, frees you to be at peace (Matthew 5:44).

Your self control

Your self control is one of the greatest gifts from God to make the most out of life (2 Timothy 1:7).

Patient with yourself

Sometimes you have to be just as patient with yourself as you want to be with others (1 Timothy 1:16).

Want more?

Don't blame God if you want more, but haven't proven you're willing to be thankful with what you already have (Luke 16:10).

God moves

God moves even when you don't think it's possible (Genesis 1:2).

Hope in disappointment

There is always hope in disappointment (Zechariah 9:12).

Jesus is Lord

You didn't make Jesus Lord of your life. He is Lord and you just realized it (Luke 6:46).

What feeds your soul

 What you feed your soul shows what feeds your soul (Matthew 5:6).

Your compassion

 The world needs your compassion (Mark 6:34).

His glorious name

 "Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen" (Psalm 72:19)!

 To be in Christ is to be in awe of his glory (John 1:14).

Generous friends

 You can be a generous friend of God without ever spending a dime (Acts 20:35).

God loves your enemies

 God still loves your enemies, and wants you to do the same (Romans 12:20).

Find happiness

 One easy way to find happiness is by giving it (Ecclesiastes 3:12).

Making mistakes

 You are going to make mistakes. The question is whether you will let the mistakes help you grow (Proverbs 26:11-12).

God knitted you

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb" (Psalm 139:13).

Make peace

God made peace with us. We can make peace with each other (Colossians 1:20).

Obedience to God

Obedience to God isn't burdensome, but it isn't always popular either (1 John 2:17).

Check your heart

Check your heart before you try to check someone else's life (Matthew 12:34).

Known for who you are

You aren't just known for who you are. You are known for who you call Lord (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Practice wisdom

You get wisdom by practicing wisdom (Psalm 111:10).

Set a guard

"Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips" (Psalm 141:3)!

In your pain

In your pain there is the promise of God's deliverance (Psalm 126:5). 

The command to love

The command to love isn't new anymore, but everyone you share it with someone who hasn't heard it, it becomes new to them (John 13:34).

If Jesus isn't everything

 If Jesus isn't your everything, you'll let anything come before him (Philippians 2:10-11).

Made to worship

 You were made to worship. How will you do that today (Romans 12:1)?

Your plans and God's desire

 You can trust your plans if they align with God's desire (Hosea 6:6).

A very present help

 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

Small act

 Any small act of love done in Jesus' name has the potential to transform a life (1 John 3:16).

Jealous of blessings?

Never be jealous of someone else's blessing (1 Corinthians 13:4-5).

Your church

Your church needs you (Ephesians 2:20-22).

Reflect grace

Let your attitudes reflect the grace you have received in Jesus' name (Philippians 2:5).

The Good Shepherd walks with you

You need the Good Shepherd to walk through the darkest valleys (Psalm 23).

The Lord saves his anointed

"Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand" (Psalm 20:6).

The gift of peace

Peace is a gift to you from God (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

Friendships over opinions

Your friendships matter more than your opinions (2 Timothy 2:14).

Kingdom worthy time

You already give your time and resources to something. The question is if it's kingdom worthy (1 Peter 4:10).

Your walk

Your walk with God should be a blessing to others (Exodus 3:14).

Start over

It's okay for you to take a breath and start over (Psalm 37:7).

Give thanks to him

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name" (Psalm 110:4)!

People who care

Surround yourself with people who care about your walk with God (Hebrews 10:25).

Pray and live

Pray in Jesus' name and live in Jesus' way (1 John 2:6).

Be careful!

Idolatry can be easily disguised (Jonah 2:8).

Wisdom should do this

Wisdom should bring you closer to God (James 3:17).

What is meekness?

Meekness isn't weakness (Matthew 5:5).

A broken spirit

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise" (Psalm 51:17).

God's presence

God is always more present than you realize (Exodus 33:14).

When you can't go to church

Even when you can't go to church, you can always go to the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18).

If it's a blessing

If it's a blessing, it won't take your focus off God (Proverbs 16:3).

The world needs this

The world needs your faithful witness (Proverbs 29:2).

What are you willing to do?

What are you willing to do to see your community healed in Jesus' name (Matthew 6:10)?

His testimonies

"Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways" (Psalm 119:2-3)!

Someone's opinion

Don't let someone's opinion change your willingness to love them (Galatians 3:28).

Your focus

Your focus is your decision (Proverbs 4:25).

What's good?

Some people are too busy looking for what's wrong they miss celebrating what is good (Philippians 4:8).

With faith

With faith, you don't have to be certain of where you're going. You are trusting the One who is leading you there (Proverbs 3:6).

Care more

Care more and you'll notice how easy it is to do more (Mark 6:34).

Encouraging people

Discouraging times need encouraging people (John 16:33).

Too busy?

If you're too busy to pray, you're too busy (2 Peter 3:18).

Complicated

Don't complicate what God has made simple (Psalm 116:6).

More than knowing

Godly wisdom is more than knowing (James 3:17).

Worry is natural

Worry is natural, but it doesn't have to be permanent (Proverbs 12:25).

Take care of yourself

God loves you enough to take care of you. So, take care of yourself, too (3 John 1:2).

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer" (Psalm 19:14).

Rushing to what's next

Before you rush to what's next, take time to reflect on what is right now (Psalm 139:23-24).

The joy of holiness

God has made you holy. You get the joy of learning how to be holy (2 Corinthians 7:1).

Facing temptations

Be encouraged to know that others have faced temptations like yours and have made it through with God's help (1 Corinthians 10:13).

God's will Gods' way

Where there's Gods' will there's God's way (Ephesians 5:17)!

You increased

"On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased" (Psalm 138:3).

Your cry for help

There is no where you can go where God will not hear your cry for help (Psalm 61:2).

You'd be surprised what you can do when you decide you can do it (1 Samuel 26:25).

Why would God give you boldness if he didn't expect you to use it (Acts 28:31)?

Sometimes, the lesson is the blessing (Proverbs 9:9).

Do everything you do with excellence (Daniel 6:3).

Make difficult decisions by holding strong to your Christ-centered convictions (John 16:8).

Doesn't mean disunity

Disagreement doesn't need to mean disunity (1 Corinthians 4:6).

Don't be offended

If someone challenges what you say, don't be offended. Listen for what God might be teaching you (Proverbs 9:9).

Faithful examples

Be a faithful example you'd be proud to follow (1 Timothy 4:12).

Find someone

Find someone you can talk to and pray with that can teach you how to follow Jesus more faithfully (1 Thessalonians 2:8).

Give ear

"O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth" (Psalm 54:2).

Learn something new

Learn something new and you just might become something new (Ephesians 4:14).

All the little ways

Notice all the little ways God blesses you today (Lamentations 3:23).

The joy of someone's day

The joy of someone's day might begin with a smile or encouraging word you give them (Ephesians 4:29).

Grace abounds

Grace abounds within everything beautiful you know and experience about life and about God (John 1:16).

Be still

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth" (Psalm 46:10)!

Futile dreams

Don't waste life chasing futile dreams. Rather, seek the kingdom (Matthew 6:33).

A praying friend

A praying friend is a trusted friend (Proverbs 27:17).

All of yourself to God

You'll never experience all of God's grace if you do not offer all of yourself to God (Luke 10:27).

The only life

The only life you should compare yours to is the One who gave his life for you (2 Timothy 2:15).

Consider that wherever you go today, God has sent you there to be a source of his peace and healing (Matthew 5:16).

Admitting your need for help

Admitting your need for help isn't a sign of weakness; it's a mark of maturity (James 4:6).

All that you need

God promises to be all that you need (Exodus 3:14).

It isn't a choice

To love your enemies isn't a choice to forget what has happened. It's a calling from God to live in reconciliation (Luke 6:27).

Weak moments

Your weakest moments are the perfect moments to experience the power of God (Isaiah 40:29).

Pray with heart and mind

Pray with your heart and mind to know the will of God (1 Corinthians 14:15).

Fullness of joy

God doesn't always take away the trouble, but the Lord will prepare you to walk through it victoriously (Habbukuk 3:19).

God gives you the strength to do what he has prepared you to do (2 Timothy 4:17).

Has the old passed away?

If the "old" hasn't passed away, is that because God isn't faithful or because you haven't let go (2 Corinthians 5:17)?

God promised to take care of you

Remember that God promised to always take care of you (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Be love

Where you don't see love, be love (1 John 3:17).

Have not forsaken you

"And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you" (Psalm 9:10).

Never let you go

There may have been moments life let you down, but God has never let you go (Zephaniah 3:17).

Seeking God's wisdom

If you want to change your outlook, make seeking God's wisdom a priority (Ecclesiastes 8:1).

Think or pray

Think, maybe even pray, first before you speak or before you post (Proverbs 15:28).

Perspective of life

The joy God gives changes your whole perspective of life (Isaiah 55:12).

Want to be renewed

You can't just want to be renewed; you have to submit to and allow the Spirit of God to actually renew your heart (Psalm 51:10).

What god?

"Your way, O God, is holy. What god is so great as our God" (Psalm 77:13)?

Holiness is

Holiness is not just what you do; it's who you are (1 Thessalonians 4:7).

Strong and confident

God does allow you to be strong and confident just so you can belittle those who aren't (Proverbs 14:12).

Pray. Pray. Pray.

Pray. Pray. Pray. And when you're all prayed out, pray (Luke 18:1-8).

What you're called to do

There is nothing God has called you to do that you cannot do (1 Peter 2:9).

A shield about me

"But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head" (Psalm 3:3).

God strength is yours

The strength of God becomes your strength as you recognize his presence with you (Isaiah 41:10).

Too much negativity

There's too much negativity everywhere. Take some time to listen to a good word from God (Proverbs 12:25).

Live your faith

Learn from and lean on the faith of others, but make sure you live your faith (Deuteronomy 5:3).

Reading the Bible

Reading the Bible does more than teach you about Jesus; it inspires you to live like Jesus (John 17:17).

Not just a choice

Trusting God isn't just a choice you make. It's a way you live through every situation you face (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Fullness of joy

"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11).

Celebrating your accomplisments

It's good to celebrate the accomplishments God has helped you achieve (Ecclesiastes 3:4).

Learning to pray

Learning to pray means learning to be persistent (Luke 11:8).

The people who have helped

Give thanks to God for the people who have helped you accomplish God's plan for your life (1 Kings 7:51).

What God wants to grow

As your faith grows, you may lose something you think is important. Remember, God prunes what he wants to grow (John 15:2).

Christ's victory and sacrifice

The victory of Christ is rooted in the sacrifice of Christ. You can't have one without the other (Colossians 2:15).

Know my end

"O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am" (Psalm 39:4)!

Godly character

Let what you're facing now produce a godly character that will empower the rest of your life (Romans 5:3).

More gracious

The more gracious you are, the less defensive you have to be (Ecclesiastes 10:12).

Little things

You can let the little things get to you or you can let the little things inspire you (Proverbs 17:22).

The freedom God gives

The freedom God gives you sets you free to truly love him with all your heart (Galatians 5:13).

God comforts

God comforts every pain you face with the peace he gives (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

As we hope in you

Prayer and hope

Every prayer you give to God adds to the hope God gives to you (Romans 15:13).

Redemption in punishment

Even in God's punishment, there is always God's promise of redemption (Proverbs 3:11-12).

Be the church

Don't be surprised when the world acts like the world. You just be the church (Hebrews 3:6).

Constant in prayer

To be patient in tribulation, you need to be constant in prayer (Romans 12:12).

Forgiveness doesn't make you forget. Forgiveness sets you free (James 5:16).

If you trust God, you don't need to have control (Matthew 4:7).

Always do good with whatever you have (Proverbs 16:8).

Everyone's essential

In God's kingdom, everyone is essential (Matthew 16:19).

Worship & obedience

God came to you in Christ. You come to him in worship & obedience (John 1:14).

Humility isn't weakness

Humility isn't weakness. It is a trust in what God is prepared to do through you (Matthew 20:16).

God is always good

Even if things don't seem fair, God is always good (Hebrews 6:10).

Every failing of yours has been forgiven through the obedience of Christ (Psalm 73:26).

You can read the Bible, if you want to read the Bible. You just have to want to read the Bible.

Bad habits

Don't let a bad habit turn a good thing into something miserable (Proverbs 20:1).

Move it!

God's Spirit moves. Do you move with it (John 3:8)?

Live fully

The only way to live fully to God is to surrender fully to God (Luke 9:23-24).

Give God your attention

God will give you a good word if you will give God your attention (Proverbs 4:20).

Fear of the Lord

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever" (Psalm 111:10)!

Live right

You can live right even if things around you are not right (Matthew 5:24).

Some arguments

Most arguments are not worth having, and some are not worth winning (2 Timothy 2:23-25).

Forget God

Sometimes things are so good that people forget God (John 17:3).

Always hope

With God, there is always hope (Hebrews 11:1).

With all you've got

The best way to deal with people is to love them with all you've got (Romans 13:10)!

Compassion for his children

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him" (Psalm 103:13).

Paying attention

If you don't know the next step God's wants you to take, keep paying attention to God's movement (Proverbs 21:1).

Doorway to a better day

A better attitude is often the doorway to a better day (Proverbs 17:22).

Reject it!

Don't just avoid gossip. Reject it (Leviticus 19:16)!

How many conversations

How many conversations will you have today about the love of God (Proverbs 12:18)?

For your good

God has never stopped working for your good (Romans 8:28).

Unfailing love

"Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you" (Psalm 63:3).

Someone watching

Someone is always watching your faith (Matthew 5:16).

What loneliness does

God knew what loneliness does, and gave us the church to show us how to be loved (Romans 12:5).

What you try to do for God

Be careful what you try to do for God if you haven't first heard from God (Proverbs 29:18).

Words of the Bible

The words of the Bible are connected to the path God wants you to know (Psalm 119:105).

Power, love & self control

Let the power, love & self control God gives you conquer the fear the enemy wants you to have (1 Timothy 1:7).

Great is God's love

"For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies" (Psalm 57:10).

What you share

What you learn becomes what you share (Matthew 28:20).

More than a virtue

Patience is more than a virtue. It's a necessity (Isaiah 40:30)!

Trusting that God provides

Your giving to God's mission is connected to your trusting that God provides (Matthew 6:30).

Chance to be renewed

Who you have been doesn't have to be who you will become. There is always a chance to be renewed (Romans 1:1).

Someone else's image

Always let the image of God within someone be more important to you than the feelings you may have about them (1 Corinthians 13:4).

"O give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever" (Psalm 136:26).

The way of Jesus

The cross shows us the way OF Jesus and IS the way of his followers (Mark 8:34).

Understand the Bible

Getting what you want?

Praying is less about getting what you want, and more about learning what God desires (Colossians 4:2).

When you are brokenhearted

When you feel brokenhearted, remember the Lord is always near to you (Psalm 34:18).

In his strength

Whatever the Lord's ask you to do, in his strength you can do it (Acts 10:38).

My pleas for mercy

"O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy" (Psalm 130:2)!

Nurturing life

It's easy to follow the commandment to not murder, but how are you nurturing life in the world around you (Exodus 20:13)?

Learn how faithful

God isn't ashamed of you because of your sin. Confess and learn how faithful God is to forgive (1 John 1:9).

Loving and serving

You can't love God without serving God (Luke 16:13).

What God told you

Do what you know God has told you is right (James 4:17).

Good things

God created you both for good things and for you to do good things (Ephesians 2:10).

The Lord accepts my prayer

"The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord accepts my prayer" (Psalm 6:9).

Your work a witness

Let your work today be a witness to how grateful you are to God (Proverbs 18:9).

Your day's strength

Don't waste your day's strength on worrying. Use the strength God gives you to overcome (2 Timothy 1:7).

What it means to hear God's voice

When the word of God becomes more important to you than other things, you'll know what it means to hear God's voice (Jeremiah 15:16).

WWJD?

You won't know WWJD if you aren't learning what matters to Jesus (John 3:17).

If you were wrong

It's okay if you were wrong, just don't be stubborn about it (Hosea 4:16).

God is the strength

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:26).

As you seek God's kingdom more, you'll notice God adds all the more you need to your life (Matthew 6:33).
